CPR
(Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) Essentials
A
30-minute course designed to provide the theoretical
knowledge needed to provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
in the event of an emergency where a casualty has stopped
breathing and does not have a pulse. If basic cardio-pulmonary
resuscitation is not given, a casualty will die within
four minutes. These techniques can keep a casualty alive
until qualified medical attention arrives.

CPR Essentials covers

assessment of a casualty, how to open the airway, how
to check for breathing and how to take a pulse.
Mouth-to-Mouth Ventilation - Covers when it is
necessary to perform rescue breathing and how to theoretically
perform mouth-to-mouth ventilation.
Chest Compressions - Covers how to theoretically
perform chest compressions and the different rates of
compression for an adult, child and baby casualty.
ABC of Resuscitation - Recaps on the sequence
of events for dealing with a collapsed casualty.
The Recovery Position - Sets out the steps involved
in placing a casualty into the Recovery Position with
modifications for suspected head and neck injuries.

an emergency call.
Final Quiz - There is also a final quiz at the
end which tests their retention and understanding of
the course material.
Your
