There

each year. The total cost in human and business terms
is immense. This 45-minute course teaches employees
not only how they can help prevent fires, but also what
they should do in the event of a fire. It is a comprehensive
introduction to the subject of fire safety and adheres
to the guidelines issued by the Home Office and the
Health and Safety Executive.

Understanding Fire - An introduction to the three
elements needed to start and sustain a fire.
Preventing Fires - Covers the importance of knowing
what causes fires in the workplace and how you can help
reduce or eliminate the risk of a fire starting.
Evaluating a Fire - Covers the steps involved
in deciding if it is possible to extinguish a fire (i.e.
is it small, contained, easy exit etc,).
Escaping a Fire - Illustrates how to evacuate
a burning building in the event of an emergency.
Fighting a Fire - Covers the different fire extinguishers
and different classes of fires.
Treating Casualties - How to deal with a casualty
whose clothes are on fire and how to treat a minor burn.
Final Quiz - There is also a final quiz at the
end which tests their retention and understanding of
the course material.
