Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court has fined a vehicle seat manufacturing company based in Ebbw Vale, £40,000 and ordered to pay costs of £12,010 after an employee was injured at work.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has successfully prosecuted a Cornish based man after he was found guilty of two breaches of gas safety legislation. He was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for one year and ordered to undertake 180 hours unpaid community work. The court ordered him to pay £4,000 in costs and disqualified him from being a company director for three years.
