In this 60-Minute GDPR Health Check Webinar Christopher Beveridge Associate Director within the Governance, Risk & Assurance Group at Moore Stephens and Julian Roberts CEO at EssentialSkillz take a look at key GDPR preparations and how to assess if your organisation is on course to meet the deadline.
Why do you need a GDPR Health Check?
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) represents the biggest change in data privacy regulation in 20 years.
Despite being an EU Regulation, when it comes into force on May 25, 2018, it will affect not just UK businesses, but all companies that sell into, or have customers and suppliers based in Europe.
Non Compliance could be costly. There will be two levels of fines based on GDPR failures. The first is up to €10 million or 2% of the company’s global annual turnover of the previous financial year, whichever is higher. The second is up to €20 million or 4% of the company’s global annual turnover of the previous financial year, whichever is higher. The potential fines are substantial and a good incentive for companies to ensure compliance with the Regulation.
