The Accounts Assistant will join our team in Galway. In this role, you will assist senior management in the maintenance, reporting and management of the company’s finances. Other duties will include reconciliations, cash flow management, monthly management accounts production, tax returns, credit control and more.

  • Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts

  • Prepare and file Irish and UK tax returns (VAT, VIES, VAT Moss, PAYE)

  • Reconciliation of bank, cash and credit card accounts

  • Payroll: maintain employee details, process and review of monthly payroll

  • Accounts payable: managing supplier PO’s and invoices, preparation of weekly payment runs

  • Accounts receivable: processing of invoices and ensuring timely debtors payments

  • Reconciling debtors, creditors and nominal ledgers including prepayments, accruals, fixed assets & depreciation, fx calculations and consolidations.

  • Maintaining of fixed assets register

  • Inter-company transactions and reconciliation of intercompany balances

  • Preparation of statutory returns as required

  • Liaising with other departments, suppliers and customers to resolve queries.


  • Exam qualifications (or part qualified) an advantage i.e IATI/ACCA/ACA/CIMA

  • Strong organisational skills and time management

  • Quickbooks, Collsoft Payroll, ROS Online/Offline, online banking

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in an Accounts role.

  • Previous experience working in industry is essential.
