We are looking for a motivated and professional DevOps Engineer to help us manage our web infrastructure on both system and application level.

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and optimizing the provisioning and running of our applications on AWS (LAMP stack)
  • Ensuring high availability, durability, stability and security of our architecture
  • Designing and building our sophisticated monitoring stack and app uptime alerting
  • Creating tools to prevent or mitigate instances of high load, ensure security and stability throughout the system
  • Improving CI / CD strategy in cooperation with the Dev team

The person

  • Undergraduate / Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science
  • 2 years of experience with the LAMP stack (PHP, MySQL, Apache)
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience of Amazon Web Services
  • Experience writing Bash, Python / PHP
  • Excellent general understanding of Linux, cloud networking and server management
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts (layers, firewalls, DNS, VPN, etc) and how to build secure infrastructure and an awareness of common server security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience building distributed, failure-resistant architecture, including disaster recovery, backups, failover, etc.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving problems in mission-critical environments.
  • Technical awareness and ability to quickly understand new technologies

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working with ELK stack
  • Experience working with Docker
  • Experience with AWS security tools and services
  • Having worked in JIRA
  • Good understanding of APIs and web services
