Intermediate PHP Developer

Critical to our success has been our WorkWize Compliance Platform that enables customers to create courses, edit our off-the-shelf libraries, create self-risk assessments, automatically deploy this content to their users, and effectively manage the resultant workflows. The Governance, Risk and Compliance sector is growing rapidly and we are well-positioned to benefit from this growth.

We are looking to hire professionally experienced PHP Developers to join our DevOps Team based in Galway, Ireland. These are full time, permanent positions, with the benefit of working remotely. 

The role:

We are interested in meeting PHP Developers with significant competence and experience in object-oriented design, who are familiar with modern web technologies and are looking to develop their knowledge in a supportive working environment where learning is central to everyone’s personal development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Write, debug, improve and test software
  • Read, investigate, and adjust code
  • Collaborate in team meetings
  • Engage with the team in the estimation of your work
  • Communicate and ensure the team is aware of the outcomes of and progress of your work
  • Brainstorm and put forward suggestions on how the team might add value or improve

The person:

  • Fluent English speaker
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Developed at least one web application using some of the following (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, SQL)
  • Attention to detail

Advantageous skills and knowledge:

  • Study in an IT/Computing related discipline is an advantage
  • Experience of the training, compliance or health and safety industries
  • Using the AWS Management Console
  • Developing or using APIs or Frameworks
  • Have used the following in a project: GIT, Jira, MongoDB, Node.js
  • Test automation experience
