Cardiac arrest can strike anyone, at any time. Research shows that effective CPR ensures that enough oxygenated blood will reach the brain, heart and other organs to keep a person alive for several minutes, buying time for the emergency services to arrive and more than doubling the chance of someone surviving a cardiac arrest.

Would you – or the members of your team – know what to do if they were faced with such an emergency? Being able to put a casualty into the recovery position, or performing CPR – cardiopulmonary resuscitation – for just a few minutes could mean the difference between life and death.

The EssentialSkillz CPR Essentials eLearning course delivers the information that will enable you and your workforce to be able to help anyone who might be experiencing cardiac failure. The online course highlights key signs to look for to assess the situation, and explains how to open an airway and check for signs of breathing. It uses animations to demonstrate practical actions, including the recovery position, performing chest compressions and using a defibrillator. It also covers different techniques to use on infants and children. The course has been designed to be delivered in tandem with hands-on testing of the skills.

Like all our courses, this EssentialSkillz CPR Essentials eLearning course can be tailored to meet the needs of your organisation. A designated course administrator can edit the text and images within the course, and link to organisation-specific documentation, all at no extra cost.
