Description

The EssentialSkillz Health & Safety Induction training introduces the importance of good health and safety practices in the workplace. The course introduces the Health and Safety Act that affects workplaces and discusses why it is in place. The online course outlines the  specific responsibilities that employees have in relation to health and safety at work, including complying with procedures, participating in training and taking responsibility for the safety of themselves and others. The Health and Safety induction covers the type of accidents that can occur in workplaces, what contributes to accidents, eg, environmental and human factors and how ill-health and injury can be avoided. The course looks at what to do if an accident occurs and the importance of reporting accidents. Hazards and risks are discussed as well as the importance of risk assessments and how employees can become more risk aware to promote safe working.
