With over 3,500 staff dispersed across the UK on both mobile and static contracts, the issue of delivering basic training was significant. This extended to appropriate induction training, refresher training and VDU and Driving risk assessments. Significant time and efforts were being expended in arranging classroom sessions, getting reasonable attendance and tracking records of training having been delivered.
Online training was reviewed as an option and the EssentialSillz solution was selected as the preferred option due to the competitive costs and the syllabus of IOSH accredited safety courses. We have also explored and utilised the self-author options within the platform to add EMCOR specific training modules and an induction pack. We now have full visibility of training undertaken, an audit trail of when any particular course was completed and the results of the test. To date, we have used EssentialSkillz to deliver circa 45,000 training modules to our 3,500 staff in a targeted and efficient way.
