Wellbeing at Work

Award-nominated mental health training

How you feel on any given day can be caused and influenced by so many different factors, with work often being one of the most significant of those factors. A mental health study carried out by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) found a total of 12.8 million working days were lost as a result of work-related stress during a 12-month period in 2018/19. In recent times, mental health issues have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mental Health: Wellbeing at Work is designed to give users an understanding of some of the causes of stress at work, what can happen when it's not dealt with and how employees and employers can help reduce unnecessary stress and improve wellbeing at work. The course can be fully customised to enable employers to add relevant policies, procedures, links and information they want to communicate to their staff around mental health and wellbeing. It has been nominated for the InsideOut mental health award in the Best Use of Technology category.

The business case for action on mental health

The problem businesses we have spoken to experience is that the vast majority of mental health training solutions require onsite, day-long, classroom-based external sessions that require a significant time and cost investment. Only the largest or most progressive companies can afford this form of training.

Convincing leadership to include company-wide mental health training in their budget and that effective training doesn't need to come at a huge cost has proven to be a real challenge. VinciWorks has created a short guide to help present a business case for mental health training and get board buy-in.
